Error: Voucher Type does not exist! #
When we get the error as shown in the screenshot below, showing “Voucher Type 'xxxxxx&pos; does not exist!”, it signifies no corresponding Voucher type defined in your Tally Prime with the same name. This error comes when importing sales data from eVanik OneWorld Suite to your Tally Prime.
Hence, a Voucher type with the same name must be created in Tally Prime to remove this error. In the example above, the name is “flipkart Sales-EV-BR“. This Voucher type will be a sales Voucher
Open your Tally Prime main screen: “Gateway of Tally” and follow the steps below to create the Voucher type in your Tally Prime.
Step 1: Click on Create #
Step 2: SELECT MASTER TYPE “Voucher” #
Step 3: CREATE THE Voucher TYPE #
- Select “Sales” from the dropdown list in the row “Select type of Voucher”
- Select “Automatic (Manual Override)” in the row “Method of Voucher Numbering”
- Select “Yes” in the row “Allow zero-valued transactions”
Save the Voucher type created by pressing the CTRL & A button together.
The error “Voucher type does not exist” will not appear for this particular Voucher type in the example above. Repeat the same process in case you need to create more Voucher types for other channels.
